Today our challenge was to cut each other’s hair and do some internal/external makeovers.
Before we even began Jack decided to shave his legs, which ended in the lovely discovery of mild ringworm. Whoops. Our first task was to find out hair cutting techniques and brainstorm about it because no one had much haircutting experience except for Tabi.
Once we felt a little more knowledgeable about the subject we started in on our first victim, Gabriella. There were a few times while cutting Gabriella’s hair where we definitely freaked out a little bit and she looked, as Gabriella put it, like a young little boy. She ended up looking pretty badass though, if I do say so myself.
Next was Max, where we turned his luscious locks into a Matthew McConaughey playing Rustin Cole style. Eric shaved his beard, and our group grew a little bit in our salon expertise.
At the end we thought about how we dress, act, and behave, why we do that, and how we want to be perceived to the world. This day challenged our appearance, made us think about why we do the things we do, and had some very interesting before and after haircut results.
