I was a bartender and it just gave me the wrong energy, so I decided it was time to find something new. All my friends were like, “you’re going to get murdered in Mexico while you’re backpacking alone.” But I feel so safe here, safer than I have in most US states. I’ve been traveling for 4 months now. I went across Canada and I left my car in Vancouver. It got cold and expensive so I said, “Fuck it, I’m going to Mexico.” This is my first solo trip. I like solo travel so much more. You can live on your own terms.
